The college is alive with ever-present energy, anticipating the forthcoming events, advancements and accomplishments for students, staff, families and the very fabric of the college itself. Whether it’s through captivating productions, remarkable academic feats, or fundraising efforts to support student scholarships, the Emmanuel College community consistently rises to the occasion with unwavering enthusiasm, contributing to positive impacts, both large and small.
It is with immense pride and admiration that I celebrate the exceptional achievements of our Class of 2022 alumni, Jace Nepean, Darcy O’Keefe, and Clara Hunold, who were honoured at the prestigious Premier’s VCE Awards ceremony. Clara, receiving a Study Award for German, Darcy, a Study Award for Literature, and Jace a Study Award for French and the coveted Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Award.
As I stood beside these exceptional individuals and their families, I witnessed the recognition of their outstanding results. I thought at this moment, these students embody the spirit of Emmanuel College, showcasing that regional school students have the opportunity to strive in their learning comparable to top metro schools. Their academic success is also a testament to their unique dedication and hard work, showcasing the myriad opportunities available to students in Warrnambool. Their achievements exemplify the commitment to academic excellence and personal growth that we hold dear at Emmanuel College.
The curtains rose on a magical journey as Emmanuel College presented the enchanting musical “Frozen JR” to sold-out audiences at our Wyton Theatre. Students, staff, and volunteers united their talents to craft seven breathtaking performances immersed in the Disney world of Arendale. “Frozen JR” serves as a triumphant testament to the resilience and dedication of our community after multiple years of musical performance impacted during the pandemic. My sincerest gratitude extends to our remarkable staff, dedicated students, and the entire support network that made this wonderful experience possible.

The Edmund Rice Centre stands as a testament to our commitment to progress. With the consolidation of our campuses onto the Botanic Road site, we embarked on an exciting journey to construct a purpose-built learning facility—a space designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and academic excellence. The turning of the first sod this August marks a significant milestone, symbolising the beginning of a new chapter in Emmanuel College’s legacy.
