What a whirlwind the past 6 months have been since the previous edition of the College Connection. We’ve seen a number of alumni events come together that have defined the reason we do what we do, showing us the power of reconnection, the joy of reminiscing and the impact of inspiration.

In particular, the huge group of boys who joined us at the CBC 60-Year Reunion reminded us of the value of friendships, and the Inspiring Alumni and Young Alumni Achievers recognised at the Evening of Inspiration left us with many lessons, along with an overarching sense of pride of the community we belong to.

Both events shone a light on teachers, and their enduring impact in the lives of students beyond the school gate. Further details and galleries can be found on pages 6 and 17.

While on events, there’s still more to happen this year, with Class Reunions being organised for the Classes of 1973, 1993 and 2013. Find out all the details for these events on page 21.

We also thank alumni Mick Slockwitch of the Class of 2018, for joining us via Zoom during Science Week and then again recently in person to show our students some of the real-world applications of Robotics and AI. Through his role as project manager and sales executive for ST Solutions, he was accompanied by the humanoid robot, Pepper, who operates in industries from Healthcare to Education

Finally, if you (or one of your classmates) have news to share - get in touch! We love learning of all the adventures our past students have been on.

Stay in touch,

Candice Hampstead | Alumni Coordinator
