The Inspiring Alumni Program continues to make a powerful impact by connecting past students with the next generation, bringing stories of achievement, resilience, and possibility back into the classroom.

Recently, Inspiring Alumni inductee and Ambassador for the 2027 awards, Emily Reeves, returned to speak with students, embodying exactly what the program is all about—showing young people what’s possible and encouraging them to see their own potential in the world.

Her visit was a reminder that success doesn’t follow a single path, and that every individual story has the power to resonate with someone in the audience.

As nominations officially open for the 2027 Inspiring Alumni Program, Emily is encouraging the community to look around and recognise those who have made a difference. Whether it’s someone who has excelled in sport, contributed to the medical field, pursued humanitarian work, or made their mark in the arts, every story matters. There is no one path that deserves recognition more than another—each journey carries its own challenges, achievements, and inspiration.

By sharing these stories, the program creates a ripple effect. Students see real examples of what can be achieved beyond the classroom, helping them to imagine their own futures with greater confidence and ambition. Inspiring Alumni don’t just reflect success—they help shape it in others.

With more than 1300 current Emmanuel College students watching and listening, the influence of these role models is significant. A single story can spark an idea, build belief, or change the direction of a young person’s journey.

Nominations are now open, closing 13 November, 2026 and the college community is invited to put forward individuals whose stories deserve to be shared. If you know a past student who has made an impact, consider nominating them and helping inspire the next generation.
