On October 12 last year, we got to spend some time with the Classes of 1989 and reminisce about some wonderful and colourful stories of the people and the spaces of the old school yard. The Class of 1989 were excited to welcome back all four of their school captains for their reunion.
On tour, the St Ann’s girls remembered many of their teachers, the value of their typing lessons, and performances staged in the “old hall” (Now The STAGE). Many of the CBC boys who joined the tour had attended CBC when the College educated boys from Grade 3 onwards, so in addition to recalling the epic battles of Mat Ball played (and it’s apparent lack of rules), they were quickly able 1989 CBC Alumni on tour to identify their own classrooms from their primary years.
The group then converged at the Pavilion for a twilight event that continued well into the night. Congratulations to Narelle Hill (Smith), Anna Carroll, Andrew McNeil and Kate McDonald (Riordon) for all their work in bringing together the Class of 1989.
