About Dale Pfeiffer


Dale Pfeiffer is a professional musician, and a guitar and bass tutor, having played in various bands and ensembles both locally and interstate for 25 years. Dale is currently a member of local Warrnambool based rock band ‘GinJan’, and has taught guitar and bass guitar at both primary and secondary level for 16+ years.

 

Specialising in mainly rock and contemporary pop music, Dale has also played in various styles ranging from folk, jazz, rock fusion, classical and flamenco. Dale has been tutored by Gary Stafford, Joel Roberts and Darren Ely, and has attended clinics from professional guitarists ranging from Brett Garsed (John Farnham), Jimi Hocking (Screaming Jets) Guthrie Govan, Steve Vai, (David Lee Roth, Whitesnake) and Paul Gilbert ( Racer X, Mr Big). In 2012, Dale completed his 1st year Bachelor of Music through the Australian Guild of Music Education, and is aiming to finish these qualifications in the near future.

 

Dale is a passionate, enthusiastic performer and teacher - his aim is to give students a solid basis in the technique and theory applied to their chosen instrument, while keeping their learning experience relaxed and enjoyable. Dale also has extensive experience as a theatre and live sound and light tech, having worked as part of the Port Fairy Folk Festival for the past 3 years as a backline tech, stage manager and monitor engineer, working alongside artists such as the John Butler Trio, The Black Sorrows, Mark Seymour, Slava and Leonard Grigoryian and our own Shane Howard.
