Director of Studies

We are: Emmanuel College - one of the Western District's leading schools and a vibrant learning community. In the traditions of Mercy Education and Edmund Rice Education Australia, Emmanuel College is a Catholic, co-educational College with an enrolment of 1220 located in the centre of Warrnambool.

Our objective is to extend students to the best of their ability and to foster a love of learning, a strong sense of community and pride in our heritage. We are developing a teaching and learning program to continuously improve student outcomes and emphasise engagement supported by 1:1 laptop learning.

We invite expressions of interest for the position of Director of Studies. The Director of Studies is a member of the College Executive, a key leadership position responsible for curriculum and pedagogy and the delivery of whole school improvement.

You are:

• An experienced educator who will bring energy and creativity to this key leadership role.

You will demonstrate:

• The capacity to provide leadership in curriculum for the achievement of quality learning outcomes.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and ICT skills, and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community.

• The capacity to develop and maintain an organisational culture based on ethical professional and personal behaviours and values.

• The ability to engage and inspire colleagues and to work collaboratively.

The position is:

• Full-time permanent, commencing Term 1, 2015.
