MUSIC EXPO at Emmanuel College
Present and possible future students of Emmanuel College are invited to attend a Music Expo and Information Night on Monday November 23rd at 7.30pm at the Ardlie Street Campus Hall.
There will be band performances and demonstrations of all the instruments available for tuition. All parents and students who think they may be interested in music are encouraged to attend. Individual lessons at the College start from as low as $10 for a private half hour lesson and $5 for a shared lesson. This is a very low rate and the aim is to make Music affordable for all.
An exciting new addition to the Music Programme at Emmanuel is the introduction of Music Industry 101, which is an option for students in Years 8 to 10. In this unit, students develop an understanding of the inner workings of the Music Industry, studio recording techniques, radio, copyright, song writing, health and safety, and sound & acoustics.
Students produce their own CD, and participate in the national ‘Kool Skools’ music and multimedia project.
Emmanuel’s Director of Music, Mr Nick Frampton invites all interested families to attend the Music Expo, which will conclude at approximately 9pm. Nick may be contacted on 5560 0888 during school hours or via email.
